In face of imperialist pressures, the Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV) organizes activities to expose capitalism and preserve the achivements of the Bolivarian Republic.

As the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela is increasingly subjected to pressure from imperialist agents, the Communist Party of Venezueala continues its activities to consolidate the organization of the people in line with the working class struggle.

On Sunday, 20th May 2018, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, supported by the Communist Party of Venezuela, was re-elected to office. Despite winning all bar two of the many elections and referenda in the course of recent history, President Hugo Chavez and President Nicolas Maduro and the entire Bolivarian revolution have faced relentless US hostility and efforts towards “regime” change since 1998.

venezuela escudoThe Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela categorically rejects the terms of the communiqué issued by the Office of the High Representative for the European Union Foreign Policy, Federica Mogherini, concerning to the presidential and state legislatures elections successfully held on past May 20th, 2018, in which 68% of the voters placed their trust in President Nicolas Maduro Moros, as a sovereign and courageous act in spite of the systematic threats and unprecedented foreign pressures.

Communist Parties of South America declare their support for Nicolas Maduro who is re-elected as President of Venezuela with more than 5,8 million votes (68%). 

Presidential elections in Venezuela, which were initially planned to be held in April, took place on May 20. President Nicolas Maduro got re-elected by receiving more than 5,8 million votes (68%). Despite manipulations of the North American press and boycott attempts of the pro-imperialist opposition in the country, elections were carried out under the control of the National Electoral Council (CNE) with the participation of more than 150 international observers. Out of 20,5 million registered Venezuelans, totally 8,6 million people voted on Sunday. A week before the elections, the US Government had come up with accusations of drug traffic and overtly threatened Venezuela with further measures. After his victory, President Maduro stated his determination in the resistance against imperialism and called on the opposition to maintain a persistent dialogue. Raúl Castro Ruz, the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), highlighted the courage of the Venezuelan people through his congratulation letter disclosed by Venezuelan Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza.

As the speaker of the House of Assembly in St Vincent and the Grenadines, I want to extend congratulations to President Maduro, United Socialist Party and the people of Venezuela for voting yet again for peace and development with the reelection of President Maduro to a much deserved second term as President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

 The XIVth National Conference of the Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV) convened its closing session in Caracas on February 26.With the participation of President Nicolas Maduro, it is declared that a unitary programmatic agreement is signed between the PCV and United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) and that the PCV will give support for Maduro's reelection in the presidential elections of April 22.
